Conference Registration and Fees

Register for the conference and pay the fee in South African Rand (R). Delegates who do not have access to Visa or Mastercard, or who prefer to pay by SWIFT bank transfer, should contact the local organiser,
George Kershoff (gjkk@sun.ac.za) to arrange an alternative payment method.

The conference fee includes:

  • Venue hire
  • Wi‑Fi access
  • Three lunches
  • Tea and coffee breaks
  • Welcome drink
  • Saturday social excursion (transport, entrance fees, guide, tasting, lunch and drinks)

Both meat and vegetarian meal options will be available. Unfortunately, halal and kosher meals cannot be provided.

Social Excursion for Students and Accompanying Persons

The social excursion is included in non-student registrations, but charged separately for students and accompanying persons.

  • Cost: R800.00 (€41.00) per adult (18 years and older)
  • Children travel free and have free access to Babylonstoren, but they are not included in the tasting. If a children’s meal is ordered from the restaurant menu, the cost will be for the parents’ account.

The Euro amounts are indicative only and are based on an exchange rate of R19.44/€. The exact amount paid in your local currency will depend on the exchange rate on the day of payment and any bank or credit card charges.

* Corporate members may register up to five delegates.
** Student registration is available to full-time students only. Cost of social excursion of R800.00 (€41.00) is charged separately.
# The non‑member category is intended for presenters with accepted papers who are not CIRET members. CIRET reserves the right of admission. Observers without accepted papers should contact the CIRET office (info@ciret.org) for approval before registering.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

To cancel your registration and request a refund, contact the local organiser, George Kershoff (gjkk@sun.ac.za).

  • Before 10 July: Full refund minus a 10% administration fee
  • 10 July – 9 August: Refund of fees paid minus a 50% administration fee
  • From 10 August onwards: No refund

Exchange‑rate fluctuations and bank or credit‑card charges may affect the final refunded amount in your local currency.
