Join us for a landmark occasion as we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Bureau for Economic Research (BER) alongside 30 years of democracy in South Africa.
We are hosting a full-day conference in Sandton on 31 July 2024 to commemorate eight decades of economic research and insights. The lineup features renowned speakers from the realms of business, policy and politics.
We will delve into the rich tapestry of South Africa’s economic history, drawing from seven decades of survey data. Since its inception, the BER has been a stalwart in providing critical primary data, economic insights and forecasts, which play a pivotal role in shaping economic discourse and policy decisions.
