The latest survey showed that manufacturing business confidence remains at a low level albeit that the index recovered slightly to 33 index points. Business conditions deteriorated with activity indicators coming in weaker. Manufacturers have adjusted their expectations regarding business conditions in 12 months time significantly downwards.
