The seasonally adjusted Kagiso PMI regained some lost ground at the start of the third quarter, rising by 2.8 points to 51 in July after dipping below the key 50 mark during June. The improvement in the headline index was mainly the result of an almost 6 point rise in the new sales orders index, which measured 52.2 in July. The index more than recouped the losses suffered during June.
